Why Do They Keep Shooting at Trump?

When I was a kid growing up in Washington, D.C., the cops had a rule which basically said that they never gave out the specific street address of any burglary of a home. This was the 1950’s when almost all the news was in printed form because many homes didn’t yet have a TV and radio news was a couple of minutes at the top of the hour and that was it.

The reason the D.C. Police didn’t specify where crimes involving criminal entries into private residences took place was because of what they called the ‘copy-cat effect.’ Which meant that if a house was identified that was located on a specific block of a specific street was robbed one night, you could bet that another house on the same block of the same street would be robbed or at least would be the target of an attempted robbery within the following week.

I would be willing to bet that the two assassination attempts against Trump are a perfect example of this ‘copy-cat’ behavior, except we’re not talking about someone breaking into a private residence and running off with some cash or some jewels.

We’re talking about trying to kill the President of the United States, and if you can’t get a clear shot at the President or the former President, why not go for the Secretary of State, or the Vice President, or the Speaker of the House?
