Why New Gun Laws Won’t Do Sh*t.

After every mass shooting, particularly a shooting that happens at or near a school, we always get the requisite Fake News story about how and why we can never get the POS/GOP to go along with a gun law which we know will make it more difficult for crazies like the crazy who shot up the school in Texas yesterday. Or was it the day before?

Who the Hell can remember when a certain mass shooting took place when they seem to happen all the time, just about everywhere or anywhere?

There was even a mass shooting, believe it or not, on a New York subway car. How did that happen?

Anyway, when it does happen, I get an immediate bunch of emails from various gun-control organizations telling me that now, more than ever, they need some money so that they can go after the big, bad NRA. Because it’s all the money that my friends at the NRA headquarters give to those NRA supplicants in the Congress which prevents us from passing any ‘common sense’ gun laws which would prevent these mass shootings from taking place, right? Wrong.

This morning USA Today ran a story about why we can’t get any more gun laws through Congress, and the reporters gave out thee usual nonsense about the power and influence of the NRA, particularly in an election year: “Many Republicans are heavily backed by gun rights groups: The top 20 recipients of gun…
