Will 2024 Be an Honest Election?

Some years ago, I was standing behind the counter of my gun shop when a typical (legal) gun owner walked in. He was a white guy in his 50’s, drove a small truck, did some kind of semi-skilled work with his hands and it goes without saying, voted Republican.

We started talking about a recent election in the adjacent state of New Hampshire where a pro-gun politician was beaten by some liberal, and my customer, without the slightest shred of doubt in his voice said, “Well Mike, you know what they do. They take a bus down to South Boston, take ’em up to New Hampshire, give ’em a few bucks to cast an illegal vote.”

Now the ‘them’ he was talking about were blacks and the ‘they’ were minions from the Deep State, even though Roger Stone hadn’t yet invented the term. But this guy knew for a fact that the election had been stolen from the pro-gun side.

The only time I ever heard of someone rounding up a bunch of voters and busing them to the polls was in 1972 when Liz Holtzman beat Manny Cellar in the Democrat(ic) primary by going around the district, picking up seniors at various senior centers and giving them coffee and Danish while they were riding to a place where they would cast their votes.
