Will Hunter’s Conviction Hurt Joe?
So, it took the jury a couple of hours to decide that Hunter Biden committed three felonies when he purchased a handgun in 2018. The three charges were based on the ATF 4473 form that Biden filled out at the gun shop prior to a background check being performed, a check which he passed, by the way.
The form has a bunch of yes-no questions about drug use, being a fugitive, being in the country illegally, having convicted other felonies, etc. If someone answers any of those questions with a ‘yes,’ the dealer doesn’t even bother to conduct the background check because you can’t purchase or own a gun if you have committed any of the behavior covered by those questions.
Then, at the bottom of the form you have to sign your name and by affixing your signature, you are saying that every answer you have given on the form is true.
Th third felony happens because someone who commits any of the behaviors listed in the yes-no questions on the form is prohibited from owning a gun.
Incidentally, your signature on the 4473 form in this not only applies to the yes-no questions about your legal background, but also applies to all the questions which require the buyer to give his full name, his current address, his date of birth, his sexual gender (which now includes a separate category for LGBTQ) where he was born, his…
