Will Trump End Equal Opportunity?

Before I say what I’m going to say, let me say that I have never understood why we make any distinction between anyone based on their gender, their skin color, the language they speak, the religion they follow, or any other way in which people either behave or believe, as long as they don’t do anything that will hurt someone else.

I understand why we need to have males and females, or else our species would quickly go extinct.

So fine, I’m a man, you’re a woman, we’ll get it on, and another generation will appear.

So what? So what if I’m white and you’re black? So what if you’re a Catholic and I’m a Jew? So what if I say ‘yes’ and you say ‘si?’

How can anyone believe that the way I look or the way I talk makes me better than someone who looks or talks differently from me?

That’s like saying I’m better than you because I like classical music, and you listen to progressive rock.

And yet, this kind of nonsense goes on all the time, and sometimes it not only means that some of us think we are better than others, but it can also mean that those others don’t deserve to exist.

Think I’m being overly dramatic in this respect? The picture above is what can happen when ideas of racial or cultural superiority are carried to their ultimate…
