Will Trump Get Out the Vote?

Today my sister the eagle-eyed lawyer, sends me an email with the above picture, inviting her to attend a virtual meeting to plan the GOTV activities in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, the meeting to take place this coming Saturday before the Democrat(ic) convention which is set to open on the 19th.

My sister happens to be a New York State resident, and she has worked as a GOTV activist or poll-watcher or both in every Presidential election since 2008. And she has worked in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and Joisey (and maybe a couple of other states) so when she forwards me an email asking her to tune into a meeting where the real election business is going to be discussed, it’s not what Grandpa would call a piece of shmaltz (read: chicken fat.) This is the real deal.

And the fact that the Harris-Walz campaign would be bothering to set up a ground game in states which are as blue as New York, Connecticut and New Jersey makes it clear that even though Trump et. al., is doing everything they can to fuck things up on the GOP side, our side isn’t taking anything for granted — not one bit!
