Will Trump Make Government More Efficient?

This whole thing about how Elon Musk and that other guy Ramaswamy are going to make the government more efficient is just a big joke. It’s nothing more than Trump trying to come up with some bullshit that will keep the GOP from getting their asses kicked in when we vote again in 2026, the way they got their asses kicked in 2018.

What the fuck does a business guy know about government or making the government more efficient? The only thing that someone who owns a business wants from the government is to be left alone, which means paying less taxes and operating without having to worry about all those goddamn regulations which government imposes on the private sector in order to keep us from harming ourselves.

Know what someone who owns a business does to make the business more efficient? He fires the help. Works every time unless you fire the wrong people, or you fire too many people and the next day you can’t open the front door.

The problem with firing people who work for the government is that many of them, particularly the ones with experience who really run the show, happen to have civil service protection which despite what Donald Trump says, means they’ll keep their jobs.

On the other hand, every government agency always has some people who were given jobs because they helped the folks who got elected get elected and now are sitting ducks if you want to cut down on the size of the agency staff. These employees don’t have civil service protection, but their…
