Ever hear of a guy named David Barton? If you’re reading this story of course you haven’t heard of David Barton.

He happens to be the founder and head of an organization in Texas called Wallbuilders, which promotes the idea that not only is the separation of Church and State a myth, but the individuals and groups promoting this specious and dangerous idea are the same individuals and groups promoting gay rights, open borders, public health mandates, and all those other liberal ideas and programs which rob God-fearing Americans of the basic freedoms they really need.

And what are these so-called ‘freedoms’ based on? They are based on a literal reading of the New Testament whose basic precepts must not only be followed every day but should form the basic curriculum taught in — ready? — public schools. Which is how the next generation of Americans, and every American generation thereafter will make sure to keep America free and strong.

Now, thanks to the internet, we have all kinds of self-important schmucks like Barton promoting themselves and their bizarre views about history and society on both sides of the political divide. Fine — free speech and all that jazz.
